What is the best format to send? Raw, Tiff, or Jpeg is fine. 1. The best format for editing of any kind is RAW. If your camera saves in RAW format you’re all set. 2. If your camera can save in TIFF. You’re still in great shape. 3. If all you have is a JPEG digital image there is still a great chance that we can enlarge it with next to no loss in quality, although there will be some limitation as to the enlargement size. JPEGs are great for sending files on the internet and via email. What you see on the monitor screen usually looks great even with very small files. When it comes to printing it’s a different story. JPEGs are really approximations and change in quality with each change made - size, color enhancement, sharpening, etc. We can use an “un-doctored” JPEG. That means a JPEG saved straight out of the camera. We will convert it to a TIFF file and proceed from there with any needed corrections and enlargement. 4. So, for us to get started on your digital images, we need “un-doctored” digital images in any of the above formats with our first choice being either RAW or TIFF. But, we have actually had amazing results with JPEG images also. We have great professional software to make the needed changes for a great print. It also helps if you can send us what camera was used, the model, and f-stop for the picture e.g. Canon, 20D, f 5.6. Our software can use the lens information for improved enlargements. Send your digital images you would like enlarged and printed to pmkllc@comcast.net. Our mailbox will hold at least 256megs of photos. Please specify your desired print size from the frame size/ pricing chart. We can do cusom sizing - just let us know. If you can not send a large attached file via email, just save your photos to a CD and mail to us: PMK Digital Imaging, LLC 29 Oakwood Dr. Monroe, La 71203 No digital images to send? Only printed photos? or negatives? We have a professional imaging scanner so we can scan your photos and enlarge from there. We do have the capability to make some corrections and enhancements to your photos, but remember, a bad looking 4"x6" print will probably make a much worse looking enlargement. Scanners tend to pickup dust and scratches that can be hard to see just looking at the photo. A good clean (no scratches, good focus, etc) photo can make a great enlargement.
